FJDT überprüft Ihre Festplatte, indem die S.M.A.R.T. Data kontrolliert wird und scannt die gesamte Datenoberfläche der Festplatte; Sektor für Sektor wird nach Mediumintegrität geprüft.
FJDT ist ein MS-DOS Programm und wird mit einer MS-DOS Bootdiskette aufgerufen. Selbst wenn das Betriebssystem nicht mehr reagiert ist noch ein korrekter Zugriff auf die HDD möglich, vorausgesetzt das Bios des PC's hat das Laufwerk erkannt. FJDT ist eine schnelle und effiziente Methode mittels einer Diagnose eine verdächtige Festplatte zu ermitteln, ohne den Rechner zu demontieren und das Laufwerk auszubauen. Sie können danach in kürzester Zeit wieder wie gewohnt arbeiten. FJDT überprüft Ihre Festplatte ohne irgendwelche Daten zu beschädigen, daher bleiben die Daten unversehrt.
Nachdem FJDT gelaufen ist, bekommt die Festplatte eine „PASS“ oder „FAIL“ Meldung. „PASS“ bedeutet:“ die Festplatte ist in Ordnung“, ein „FAIL“ bestätigt einen defekten Sektor. Kontaktieren Sie Ihren Verkäufer.

FJDT can be run from a bootable MSDOS diskette, which enables diagnosis even when the OS is not booting. FJDT is a quick and efficient way of diagnosing a suspect hard drive without having to disassemble your PC and remove your hard drive. This will enable you to get back online in the shortest possible time. FJDT will only perform a non-destructive test allowing your data to remain intact after diagnosis.
After running FJDT a "PASS" or "FAIL" result will be generated. A "PASS" confirms a correctly functioning drive whilst a "FAIL" confirms a fault and the necessity to contact your supplier.
